Mountain Station (Division 3)

Coverage and Community Patrol

• Service Area: Division 3 is responsible for policing a vast and diverse territory including the Hamilton Mountain, Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, and Binbrook/Glanbrook. This station coordinates patrol units that cover both dense urban neighborhoods and large rural agricultural areas.
• Emergency Response: As a primary operational hub, the station deploys uniformed officers 24/7 to respond to 911 calls, domestic disputes, and traffic incidents. The facility also houses criminal investigation units that follow up on local property crimes and assaults.
• Community Safety: The station features a Crime Manager who liaises with residents on long-term neighborhood issues. The lobby provides a safe space for the public to report non-emergency crimes, turn in found property, or make general inquiries during operating hours.

Public Services

• Reporting Centre: Residents can attend the station to file reports for minor collisions (if not requiring a tow), theft under $5000, and mischief/vandalism. This diverts non-urgent matters from the 911 system, ensuring resources are available for emergencies.
• Victim Support: Officers at this division work closely with Victim Services to provide immediate support and referrals to individuals affected by crime and tragedy, ensuring a trauma-informed response.
