Government Services and Licensing
Driver and Vehicle Services
- Driver Licensing: This ServiceOntario centre provides comprehensive driver licensing services. Residents can renew their driver’s licence, reinstate a suspended licence, replace a lost card, or change the information on their licence (such as address or name). Vision testing is available on-site for renewals requiring it.
- Vehicle Registration: The office handles vehicle permits and licence plates. Services include registering a new or used vehicle, renewing licence plate stickers (now free of charge but still required), transferring vehicle ownership, and obtaining a Used Vehicle Information Package (UVIP).
Health and Identity Services
- Ontario Health Cards: Staff assist with the registration, renewal, and replacement of OHIP health cards. This includes converting from the old red-and-white cards to the modern photo health card, ensuring continued access to provincial healthcare services.
- Photo Identification: For non-drivers, the Ontario Photo Card is issued here, providing government-recognized identification for voting, opening bank accounts, and travel within Canada.
- Accessible Permits: The centre processes applications for Accessible Parking Permits, issuing permanent, temporary, or traveler permits to eligible individuals with mobility disabilities.
