Serving and Protecting the Queen City
Main Headquarters and Inquiry Desk
The Regina Police Service Headquarters, prominently located at 1717 Saskatchewan Drive, is the central operational hub for law enforcement in Regina. This facility is open to the public for a wide range of non-emergency services. The front inquiry desk is staffed by professionals ready to assist with reporting crimes, processing accident reports, and providing general information. Unlike district offices, this headquarters offers comprehensive administrative services, including the processing of Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
Criminal Record Checks
One of the most frequent reasons citizens visit the headquarters is to obtain police information checks for employment or volunteer purposes. The service utilizes a streamlined system, though applicants should bring two pieces of valid government identification. The facility is equipped to handle payment processing and verification on-site, ensuring a secure and efficient experience for the public.
Victim Services and Community Support
The headquarters is also home to the Victim Services Unit, which provides critical support, information, and referrals to victims of crime and tragedy. Working in partnership with police officers, this unit ensures that victims are treated with dignity and have access to necessary resources throughout the investigative and judicial processes. The building also houses the Evidence Management unit and serves as the base for the Traffic Safety Division.
Reporting and Safety
While 911 should always be used for emergencies in progress, the headquarters provides a safe environment for filing reports on historical crimes, fraud, or property damage. The lobby is designed with security in mind, requiring visitors to pass through screening for certain appointments. It stands as a symbol of the service’s commitment to ”Public Service First,” operating Monday through Friday to meet the community’s needs.
