Located on Boulevard Saint-Raymond in the Hull sector of Gatineau, this facility operates under the governance of the CISSS de l’Outaouais but is distinctively designed to be non-institutional and welcoming. The core philosophy of Aire ouverte is the ‘No Wrong Door’ policy, ensuring that any young person who seeks help is either assisted immediately or guided seamlessly to the appropriate resource without administrative barriers. Furthermore, the professionals are mobile and can meet young people in neutral settings (like a park or coffee shop) if coming to the centre is too difficult. Services are free, bilingual (French and English), and strictly confidential. This confidentiality is paramount, allowing minors (14+) to consult for certain medical and psychosocial issues without parental consent, fostering a sense of autonomy and trust.
