Roads and Transportation: The Operations Centre is the headquarters for the Town of Whitby’s Public Works department. From here, crews are deployed for road maintenance, pothole repairs, sidewalk inspection, and critical winter control operations including snow plowing and salting.
Waste Management: This facility coordinates the town’s waste collection services. Residents can contact the centre for inquiries regarding garbage, green bin, and blue box collection schedules, or to report missed collections and request new waste bins.
Parks and Forestry: The centre manages the maintenance of Whitby’s parks, trails, and green spaces. This includes tree planting, pruning, and removal services, as well as the upkeep of sports fields and playgrounds to ensure community safety.
