About Abbotsford Police Department
The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) is the independent municipal law enforcement agency serving the City of Abbotsford. Established in its current form in 1995 following the amalgamation of Matsqui and Abbotsford, the department is dedicated to its mission of making Abbotsford the safest city in British Columbia. With a motto of ‘Strength in Community’, AbbyPD operates from its headquarters on Justice Way, providing a comprehensive range of policing services including patrol, criminal investigation, and community engagement.
