Gateway to Democracy
The Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre, located on the main floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Building, serves as the educational and welcome hub for the Alberta Legislature grounds. It invites the public to explore the province’s parliamentary history and democratic process through interactive exhibits and tours. This centre is the starting point for guided tours of the Legislature Building.

Visitor Protocols
Security is paramount at the Legislature. All visitors aged 18 and over must present valid government-issued photo ID to enter. Airport-style security screening is in effect; bags, food, and water bottles are typically not permitted in secure areas. Visitors are advised to leave backpacks and large items at home or in their vehicles.
