Provincial Youth Probation and Support
The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) operates this Youth Justice Services office at 1540 McDougall Street in Windsor. This facility is dedicated to the administration of youth justice in the community, supervising young persons (aged 12 to 17) who are in conflict with the law. The office manages probation orders, community supervision, and reintegration programs mandated under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). It works in close coordination with the youth courts, police, and community partners to hold youth accountable while supporting their rehabilitation and addressing the underlying causes of offending behavior.
Core Services

- Extrajudicial Sanctions: Coordinates diversion programs that allow youth to accept responsibility for their actions outside the formal court system.
- Case Management: Develops individualized case plans focused on education, employment, and mental health support to reduce recidivism.
- Community Service: Oversees the completion of court-ordered community service hours.
