Access to Government Services
- Health and Social Services: The constituency office assists residents with inquiries and problem-solving regarding provincial agencies. This includes help with Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) issues, Trillium Drug Program applications, and navigating the Ontario Works or Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) systems.
- Education and Housing: Staff can provide information and support for matters involving the Ministry of Education, including OSAP inquiries, as well as housing support services. They act as a liaison between the constituent and the appropriate government ministry to resolve bureaucratic delays.
- Commissioner of Oaths: Andrew Dowie’s office offers free Commissioner of Oaths services for taking affidavits and statutory declarations. This service is available during normal office hours, though calling ahead to ensure availability is recommended.
