Legal Aid and Education

It addresses the imbalance in the rental market by ensuring individual landlords understand their obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act.
• Summary Legal Advice: Staff provide critical guidance on navigating the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) processes. This includes advice on ending tenancies, collecting rent arrears, and addressing tenant conduct issues, helping landlords avoid costly procedural errors in a complex legal environment.
• Document Preparation: For eligible low-income landlords, the centre assists in drafting official notices (such as N4, N5, N12 forms) and applications. Correctly completing these documents is vital, as even minor technical mistakes can lead to case dismissal at the LTB.
