George Dixon Community Centre – Halifax, NS
The George Dixon Community Centre is a cornerstone of the North End Halifax community, operated by the Halifax Regional Municipality. Named in honour of George Dixon, the first Canadian-born boxing world champion and the first Black world champion in any sport, this facility stands as a tribute to local heritage and resilience.
