Marku and Lee: Compassionate Advocates for Refugees and Migrants
In a world where borders are tightening, finding a legal team that truly understands the humanitarian aspect of immigration is crucial. Marku and Lee Immigration and Refugee Lawyers is a boutique law firm located in the vibrant West Queen West neighbourhood of Toronto. Founded by Hana Marku and Damey Lee, our firm is dedicated exclusively to immigration and refugee law. We specialize in helping the most vulnerable-refugees, victims of domestic violence, and those facing deportation-navigate the Canadian legal system with dignity and hope. We are not just lawyers; we are allies who practice with a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that your story is heard and your rights are protected.
Experts in Refugee Protection
Our practice is deeply rooted in human rights. We are experienced in handling high-stakes cases before the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) and the Federal Court. If you are looking to hire an attorney for a sensitive matter, we offer expertise in:
- Refugee Claims: preparing and presenting compelling cases for individuals fleeing persecution based on race, religion, nationality, or political opinion.
- Federal Court Litigation: Seeking judicial review for refused applications, including Mandamus orders for delayed files.
- Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications (H&C): Advocating for those who do not fit standard immigration categories but have compelling reasons to stay in Canada.
- Deportation Defence: Fighting stay of removal orders to keep families together.
A Safe Space for All
Marku and Lee is committed to diversity and inclusion. We are proud supporters of the LGBTQ+ community and have extensive experience with SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression) claims. Our office on Minowan Miikan Lane offers a modern, welcoming environment, far removed from the intimidating atmosphere of traditional corporate firms. We speak multiple languages and work with trusted interpreters to ensure clear communication.
Dedicated to Justice
We know that the immigration process can be traumatizing. When you book a lawyer at Marku and Lee, you get a partner who will walk you through every step, from the initial interview to the final hearing. We are fierce advocates who are not afraid to challenge unfair decisions. Contact us today to discuss your case in confidence and let us fight for your safety and your future in Canada. 🏳️🌈⚖️🇨🇦
